ATRIX PSS

Electronic taekwondo scoring with computer vision

The AI referee that sees every hit.

Atrix PSS turns two phones and a laptop into a complete scoring system: professional scoreboard, judges on their phones, instant replay and an AI that detects trunk and head hits. No electronic body protectors, no internet.

Tested in real bouts · dojang, October 2026

What the system does

◎

AI vision

Detects pose, body protector, helmet and real contact with two cameras; tells red from blue, punches, spins and head kicks.

▦

Professional scoreboard

Rounds, gam-jeom, breaks, brackets, tournament schedule and PDF results on any screen or TV.

▯

Judges on their phones

Each judge scores from their own phone over the dojang's local network: scan a QR, nothing to install.

↻

Instant replay

Every point is recorded; a coach asks for review and the slow-motion clip shows up immediately.

⌁

No internet, no costly hardware

Runs on a dedicated router, a laptop and ordinary phones. No electronic protectors or helmets.

✦

Learns from every tournament

The AI adapts to each dojang's protectors, helmets and lighting; the data stays on your computer.

How it works on the mat

  1. 01Plug the laptop into the dojang router and open the console.
  2. 02Two phones go on tripods as cameras; judges scan a QR.
  3. 03The AI identifies red and blue and tracks them in real time.
  4. 04Every valid hit scores and its replay is saved.
  5. 05When it ends: results, brackets and stats ready to print.

Who's behind it

Néstor J. Reséndiz, Eng.

Engineer and developer · taekwondo · Mexico

I designed and built all of Atrix PSS: the computer vision, the scoring engine, the console, the scoreboard and the judges' app. It was born from the real need of dojangs that cannot afford electronic protectors.

I want to bring the system to federations, clubs and sports-tech companies abroad, and I am open to collaborations, partnerships and professional opportunities in other countries.
